The Forest for the Trees (for Percussion Ensemble) was premiered by Mr. Daniel Hostetler and the Dublin Coffman High School Percussion Ensemble on 4/22/24.
Program Note
This music is about keeping it simple. Making sure you are not so focused on the details that you miss the important moments in life. Small moments that sometimes don’t seem important like a smile or the warm sun in the afternoon. Keep your head above water, keep one eye on the greater picture and remember that there is a whole forest in front of you. Be someone who can see the forest for the trees.
